Office Profile

Three Generations of Dentists

R. Michael Robinson, D.M.D, M.A. earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama in 1973, his Master of Arts in Education from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1977, and his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1983. "Dr Mike" was in the National Health Service Corps and Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service for 3 years prior to entering private practice in McIntosh, Alabama. A member of the University of Alabama School of Dentistry Alumni Association, the Alabama Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), Dr. Mike has completed his requirements for his Fellowship and is currently in the third year of a four-year Mastership Program in the AGD.

Rodney J. Robinson, D.M.D. (my father) earned his Bachelor of Science from Emory University in 1950 and his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree in 1957.  He is a Life Member of the Alabama Dental Association, American Dental Association, University of Alabama School of Dentistry Alumni Association, and a retired member of the Academy of General Dentistry.. "Daddy Doc", as he is affectionately known at our office and by his grandchildren, practiced dentistry for 41 years in Hartford, Alabama before his semi-retirement and joining Dr. Mike part-time in 1998.

Andrew Moore Robinson, D.D.S. (deceased) (my grandfather) graduated from Atlanta Dental College (became Atlanta Southern Dental College which became Emory University School of Dentistry) in 1908 and practiced in Abbeville, Alabama.

Douglas H. Grant, D.M.D., M.S. a native of Pascagoula, Mississippi graduated from the University of South Alabama and received his dental degree from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1992 where he completed his residency in General Dentistry in 1993 and Pediatric (Children's) Dentistry in 1997, receiving his Masters of Science.  Dr. Doug has a private practice in west Mobile, but loves to come to the country to see the little guys.  Dr. Grant is currently vice-president of the Alabama Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
