July 19, 2003 -- Nashville, TNThe Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) is proud to announce that R. Michael Robinson, D.M.D., of Creola, AL received the prestigious Fellowship Award in a Convocation ceremony held during the AGD's Annual Meeting on July 19, 2003 in Nashville, TN. In order to earn this great honor, Dr. Robinson completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive written exam and fulfilled five years of continuous membership with the AGD. The award symbolizes excellence in the dental profession and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. Dr. Robinson has joined an elite group of more than 12,800 renowned professionals who have received Fellowship honors to date. Dr. Robinson graduated from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1983 and currently practices dentistry in McIntosh, AL with his father, Dr. Rodney J. Robinson and pediatric dentist, Dr. Doug Grant. Dr. Robinson's grandfather, Andrew Robinson, was also a dentist. In addition to the AGD, Dr. Robinson is a member of the Mobile Area Dental Society and Alabama Dental Association. He also entered the Public Health Services Commissioned Corps in 1984. Dr. Robinson is married to Linda and has two children, Maggie and Jess. Dr. Robinson is the son of proud parents Dr. and Mrs. Rodney J. Robinson. The AGD is a non-profit organization of more than 37,000 general dentists dedicated to staying up-to-date in the profession through continuing education.
